Resize PNG images

Scale your PNG logos, icons and screenshots down to the exact size, transparency included.

JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and AVIF, as many as you like. Your computer does the work, so a big batch takes a moment.

PNG files are lossless, which makes them heavy when they are large. Scaling a logo, icon, screenshot or cut-out down to the size you actually display shrinks the file a lot, and the transparent background stays exactly as it was. Drop your PNGs, choose the size and download the resized versions.

How to resize PNG images

  1. Drop your PNG files in the box above, or click to pick them. You can add as many as you like.
  2. Choose the new size: a percentage of the original (50% by default), an exact width or an exact height. Click More Sizes to get several versions, for example for retina screens.
  3. PNG is already selected as the output format. Open Advanced Settings if you also want WebP or AVIF copies, which are much lighter.
  4. Click Start Resizing, then download each file or all of them at once. Nothing is uploaded: everything runs in your browser.

Why resize PNG images?

App icons, favicons, social avatars and documentation screenshots all need precise dimensions. Resizing in the browser gives you those sizes in seconds, with smooth, high-quality scaling and the alpha channel intact. Images in other formats that you add here are saved as PNG too.

Frequently asked questions

Is the transparent background kept?

Yes. Transparent and semi-transparent pixels are preserved in the resized PNG.

Can I make a small icon bigger?

No. The resizer never upscales, because enlarging a small image only makes it blurry. Start from the largest version you have.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Resizing runs entirely in your browser, on your device. Your images are never uploaded to a server, so this works for private and confidential files too.
