JPG is the safe choice when you need a picture to open anywhere: old Windows viewers, email clients, printers, online forms and social networks all accept it. This converter takes any image your browser can display and saves it as a JPG with a good balance between quality and size.
How to convert images to JPG
- Drop your images in the box above, or click to pick them. You can add as many as you like.
- JPG is already selected as the output format. Switch on other formats if you want them too.
- Optional: open Advanced Settings to resize by percentage, width or height, and add more sizes.
- Click Start Conversion, then download each file or all of them at once. Nothing is uploaded: the conversion runs in your browser.
Why convert images to JPG?
Newer formats like WebP and AVIF are smaller, but plenty of software still refuses them. Converting to JPG fixes upload errors and "unsupported file" messages. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white, and animated GIFs are saved as a still image of their first frame.
Frequently asked questions
Which image formats can I convert to JPG?
Any format your browser can open: PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP and more. You can mix formats in the same batch.
What happens to transparent backgrounds?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent pixels become white. If you need to keep transparency, convert to WebP or AVIF instead.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, on your device. Your images are never uploaded to a server, so this works for private and confidential files too.
